Nick Ogutu holds B.A Psychology/Social work, Cedar Crest College, PA, USA and MSc. Social Work/ International Social Welfare/Migration/Refugee Studies from Columbia University, New York. Nick was President of Amnesty International, Allentown Pennsylvania and Columbia University Graduate School for two years and one year respectively. He worked as Refugee Resettlement consultant at LUTHERAN REFUGEE SERVICES and at HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, PENNSYLVANIA, for a year. He was a research and outreach fellow for black Immigrants advocacy in the State of New York at the NEW YORK IMMIGRATION COALITION for a year. Nick has many projects to his credit including; Lead organizer- Burundi Peace Rally in Pennsylvania, 2016 March Lead Organizer- Kenya Anti-police brutality Rally in Pennsylvania, 2016 May Lead organizer- Prayer rally and vigil after shootings in Minnesota, Baton Rouge and Dallas Texas, 2016 July Lead Organizer - Oromo Justice Conference and Rally in New York, 2017 March Organizer- Haiti Temporary Protected Status (TPS) Seminar in Brooklyn New York, 2017 June Nick Ogutu is a Founding Member of YoHRA and has passion to promote Human Rights in Africa.
